SALES

If you have questions or want to speak with someone to place an order, you may reach our workshop in the Brooklyn Navy Yard during the following hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5:00pm (Eastern Time) at (713) 237-2999.

PRODUCT AND PRICING INFORMATION

Products displayed may be out-of-stock or discontinued, and prices are subject to change.

PAYMENT

We require a 50% deposit to initiate your order. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send you a confirmation to ensure your order information is accurate.

We build custom furniture on request.  Custom orders including items with custom features or dimensions cannot be cancelled after 48 hours from time of order.  These orders require a non-refundable deposit.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express through our website at checkout. We can arrange to accept payments via certified checks, money orders, Paypal, and Zelle.

When work is completed, we will contact you via email for final payment and to arrange delivery.  The outstanding balance will be due in full prior to delivery or shipment by a third-party carrier.

We will hold items for 30 days from notification of completion, after which we require full payment.  If full payment is not made, we reserve the right to sell the item to another customer and your deposit will be forfeited.

SALES TAX

We are required to charge the sales tax due under applicable state sales tax laws.  Please note that shipping fees are also taxable in some states, including (but not limited to) NJ, NY, PA, and VT.

LEAD TIMES

Because we individually fabricate each piece of furniture, lead times of 10-12 weeks are generally required before shipping. In periods of high demand, our lead times may be longer. DELIVERY

Delivery may take an additional 1 to 3 weeks, after the standard lead time of 10-12 weeks, depending on the item and your location. 

We offer normal delivery within a 100-mile radius of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Delivery charges are based on distance and the number of trips required. We do not offer rigging services to effect delivery through windows, roofs, etc.

Important: The buyer agrees to accept responsibility for determining if the furniture ordered can physically be delivered to their location using normal means it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to determine if the furniture ordered is suited to their needs and appropriately sized for their location.

The buyer agrees to accept all responsibility for any and all costs in the case that the furniture does not fit through doorways, passageways and elevators, etc. using normal moving equipment. Our delivery team will not remove doors or in any other way modify your home or your furniture to facilitate delivery.

OUR GUARANTEE

If within the first 30 days after receiving your product you do not remain completely satisfied with your purchase, we will provide you with a refund for the price of your piece or rebuild it.   

We reserve the right to reject any 30 day return of any item that has been used to stage real estate, used as movie props or for photo shoots.  If that is your intended use, please indicate that upfront and we will try to accommodate you.

WARRANTY

Our furniture is guaranteed against structural defects in materials or workmanship for three years.  Should our furniture fail at any time within 3 years of purchase because of workmanship or a failure of the wood materials under normal and intended use, we will either repair or replace it.  Color variation, natural markings, fading, and wear in wood are to be expected and are not covered by our warranty.

 In the event that a repair is necessary, pickup and delivery charges may apply based on location.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

This warranty applies only when you have purchased the Bien Hecho product for normal indoor household use (including use as a gift to another for household purposes) and not for commercial use or other non-residential use.

This warranty does not apply to:  (1) normal wear and tear; (2) burns, scratches, scuffs, indentations, pet damage, watermarks, sun damage, extreme temperatures or extreme temperature variations,; (3) prolonged storage in a storage facility; (4) acts or omissions of parties other than Bien Hecho, LLC (including user modification, improper use or installation of Products); (5) changes in surface finishes due to aging or exposure to light; (6) seasonal wood movement on solid wood products; or (7) damage occurring during  delivery or setup of the Product.

DISCLAIMERS

THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN THIS SALES AGREEMENT ARE THE ONLY WARRANTIES THAT BIEN HECHO MAKES AND TAKE THE PLACE OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES

This sales agreement and terms of sale constitute the entire agreement between parties and can only be modified in writing, signed by both of the parties.  In the unlikely event that a dispute cannot be settled amicably by agreement of the parties, the parties agree that the dispute shall be finally settled in accordance with the arbitration rules of JAMS then in force, by one or more arbitrators appointed in accordance with said rules. The place of arbitration shall be Brooklyn, New York. The courts of State of New York and the Federal Courts sitting therein shall have jurisdiction over the enforcement of any arbitration award, to the fullest extent permitted by law.  The Buyer and Bien Hecho, LLC consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kings County, New York to resolve all disputes and litigation between the parties. The prevailing party is entitled to recover from the other party all attorney fees and costs involved in any arbitration or litigation.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

This Site contains valuable trademarks and service marks owned and used by Bien Hecho, LLC, including but not limited to, Bien Hecho, and the Bien Hecho logo (collectively called “Bien Hecho Marks”). Any use of Bien Hecho Marks without prior written permission from Bien Hecho, LLC is strictly prohibited. The arrangement and layout of the Site, including but not limited to Bien Hecho Marks, images, text, graphics, buttons, screenshots, digitally downloadable files, furniture designs and other content or material (collectively called "Site Content") are the sole and exclusive property of Bien Hecho, LLC.

This Site also contains valuable images, furniture designs and copyrights that are the sole and exclusive property of Bien Hecho LLC.  All rights are expressly reserved. Any use of our intellectual property without prior written permission is strictly prohibited. 

UNAUTHORIZED COPYING, REPRODUCTION, MODIFYING, REPUBLISHING, UPLOADING, DOWNLOADING, POSTING, TRANSMITTING, MAKING DERIVATIVE WORKS OF OR DUPLICATING ALL OR ANY PART OF THE SITES IS PROHIBITED

Bien Hecho, LLC authentic designs are sold exclusively on this website.  We do not sell through stores, third party dealers or retailers. If you see a design resembling ours at some other location or website, it is an unauthorized version or “knock-off” that does not reflect the quality and design integrity of the Bien Hecho, LLC original.
